Description[ | ]

An Iron Ingot is the result of casting iron in a Forge using a Iron Ingot Mold. There are many items that provide a source of iron and can either be scrapped to produce Iron or melted directly in a Forge. Any combination of Iron or suitable items can be used to cast an Iron Ingot provided enough iron is produced. Each Iron Ingot weighs 3.0 lb and will require the same amount to be used during casting. An Iron Ingot can also be used to craft other items.

Forge[ | ]

Preparation[ | ]

An Iron Ingot is cast in a Forge, it will need to be prepared before being used and you will require these items.

IngotMoldIron
1x Iron Ingot Mold
Place this into the Mold slot of the Forge.
Stick
6x Stick
These will burn for 24 seconds, but any fuel source that will burn for 24 seconds or more will be suitable.

Required Metal[ | ]

To cast an Iron Ingot you will require the following metal.

ScrapIron
6x Iron
These will provide 3.0 lb of iron, but any source that will provide 3.0 lb of iron or more will be suitable. Place this into the Metal slot of the Forge.

Casting[ | ]

Place the source of iron into the metal slot of the Forge and add your fuel source to one of the three Fuel slots, this will begin the casting process. A minimum of 3.0 lb of iron is required and will produce one Iron Ingot.

Source[ | ]

This table represents the items currently available to use as a source of iron.

  • Any of these items can be placed into a Forge and used to cast an Iron Ingot.

Notes[ | ]

  • As of Alpha 8.2 it is possible to cast an Iron Ingot using an Iron Ingot, obviously this is pointless as in doing so you would waste both fuel and time to end up with the same thing as you started with.
