Description[ | ]

The idea of ingame currency originally came from the server called Canadian Last Stand ran by Novahaze. Gold was mined and turned into coins which would be sold as currency ingame. This idea was used by the devs and turned into Duke's Casino Tokens which are in-game currency used in transactions with Vending Machines and Traders. A player can obtain a Duke's Casino Token by Looting, especially from Cash Registers in businesses, or by selling Old Cash or other items to Traders. Completing Quests also provides Duke's Casino Tokens as part the reward.

Trading[ | ]

The Duke's Casino Tokens are used to buy items from Traders at settlements. They can be collected by Looting or by selling items to the NPC Traders. The amount of tokens needed or received from trading depends on the player's Bartering skill. Many items (such as clothes, brass doorknobs, and lead trophies) sell for more tokens than selling the components received from scrapping them.

A decent way to get Duke's Casino Tokens quickly is to sell duplicates of clothes, anything lead or brass, and items of which you have an abundance. Crafting and selling higher quality weapons, tools, or armor can result in fairly high profit margins over selling the individual resources used in crafting those items.

Notes[ | ]

  • The front of the Tokens seems to be engraved with the picture of the Duke of Navezgane.
    • Trader Jen says that the Tokens are used as protection payment for the Duke, it is likely that the Duke of Navezgane runs protections rackets throughout Navezgane.
