The "category" parameter seems ambiguous, i feel what it means should be clarified, or it should simply be removed/renamed. Closest thing i can figure it to be is the "group" according to in-game items, but that seems to cause problem when you get to items using the template such as map generated containers (which are not inventory items?). Anyways, what's everyone's view on this? =) --Vahlemon (talk) 11:09, 8 July 2014 (UTC)

Changing to the groups would have an effect on DPL tables as it usually narrows down the output by category, using just the groups in game would not allow certain DPL tables to work, the groups as shown in game are used for the recipe groups in the recipe list. —— Ecktos1 (talk) 12:13, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
Ok, I figured it was being used for such a reason. I suppose we should then clarify what "Category" is. In the meantime, I added a page explaining Item Groups and added it to the template to match the in-game informations.--Vahlemon (talk) 12:21, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
Ok, I think the way it is now is probably best but it does need cleaning up as most categories are user decided. Obviously some form of categorization is needed, I.e things like wood, gear, weapons, and combustible are a few that have been created by us the users. Without these categories we would find it more difficult to locate specific types of items . —— Ecktos1 (talk) 12:33, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
