Description[edit | edit source]

A Taza's Stone Axe is a multi-purpose Tool that can be used to cut wood, dig earth, mine ores, repair damaged blocks much like a Wrench as well as serving as a melee Weapon. It can not be crafted, only looted from Apache Artifact Chests in the Desert biome or in natural cave bases in other biomes like the Pine Forest for example. A Taza's Stone Axe cannot be dismantled, scrapped or melted in a Forge, but it can be used as a source of Combustible fuel.

As of A17, there is a new cave system that can spawn with an apache artifact chest, however the chest seems to not drop the stone axe often. You can easily find this by noting the wooden bridge under ground over a water source

A Taza's Stone Axe is much better than a regular Stone Axe, but not as good as upgraded tools.

Uses[edit | edit source]

As a Tool[edit | edit source]

When using a Taza's Stone Axe as a tool it can be used in the following ways

  • Clicking the left mouse button will swing a Taza's Stone Axe and hit any item that is behind the cross-hair and within range, this will allow you to cut down Trees, dig into the earth and mine down into the Stone found underground. It should be noted that a Taza's Stone Axe is not an appropriate tool for any particular type of block and it will take much longer to destroy blocks when compared to using the correct appropriate tool.
  • Clicking the right mouse button will use a Taza's Stone Axe to repair any block that is behind the cross-hair and within range, provided that the block in question can be repaired. You can also use a Taza's Stone Axe as an upgrade tool in the same way a Wrench is used. A Taza's Stone Axe can only be used to upgrade a block if you are carrying the correct items needed to perform the upgrade, if you have these items then clicking the right mouse button on the block will upgrade it. A Wrench is more efficient than a Taza's Stone Axe when used for upgrading blocks.
  • The Taza's Stone Axe can also do everything a Hunting Knife or Bone Shiv can do when gathering animal meat and hides. Also, if you use the Taza's Stone Axe on cars you can gather leather, iron, cloth, and gas just like the wrench can, However you can not gather other parts available on vehicles such as engines, headlights etc that wrenches get. However this only seems to be for motor vehicles. Sinks, toilets, air conditioners can be used by the Taza's Stone Axe.

As a Weapon[edit | edit source]

  • During combat a Taza's Stone Axe is a functional, if not very effective short range weapon. It is much better than the Stone Axe, but not great overall. It can be effective against one or two Zombies, but its use is not advised when dealing with a group of Zombies at close quarters. It can be used more effectively against single Zombies when combined with the stealth of crouching to launch a sneak attack.

Repair[edit | edit source]

This item can be repaired using Stones and no matter what it will never decrease in quality
