Description

The Stone Shovel is a primitive Tool that can be used to dig into the earth, creating holes in the ground and harvesting resources in the process. It can also serve as a melee Weapon in a pinch. Crafting the Stone Shovel is simple, requiring very few easily obtainable materials to craft and to repair.

Uses

As a Tool

When using the Stone Shovel as a tool, the following actions can be performed:

• Harvesting. Using the primary click (default left mouse button) will dig with the Stone Shovel, hitting any item or block that is targeted by the crosshairs and within range. This will allow you to dig into the earth, harvesting Resources with each use. Shovels are the most effective tools for harvesting soft earth-based blocks such as Clay Soil, Sand, Snow, or Forest Ground. Shovels also are the most effective tools for harvesting Cobblestone Rocks and Cement from the Pallets found in various POI.

As a Weapon

• When used in combat, the Stone Shovel is a very ineffective, short range Melee weapon. There are many weapons that are easily obtained that outperform the Stone Shovel, so set out to acquire one as soon as possible.
