Description[edit | edit source]

"Be the scrounge master and get faster at looting and gain a higher % chance for better loot. Gain skill by opening untouched loot containers"

Scavenging is one of the Skills in 7 Days to Die. Scavenging is the act of obtaining items found in world-generated containers. A survivor can increase his Scavenging level by opening "(Untouched)" containers and by spending skill points.

If the container does not say "(Untouched)" it has been looted previously but the items were left inside, and it will not give you XP towards your Scavenging skill. However, if you remove all the items (and enough time has passed since the previous looting), the box will refresh after a few seconds and say "(Untouched)" again.

Effects[edit | edit source]

The effects of the Scavenging skill are faster looting and a higher chance to loot better quality items. The strength of these effects per level can be found in the tables underneath.
