Usage[ | ]

Like the Shotgun Auto Turret, the SMG Auto Turret will automatically target any player or zombie in its view, depending on how the player sets the target preference. The SMG Auto Turret can be set to target Self, Allies, Strangers, Enemies, or any combination of the four. Its line of vision can be adjusted by powering it and then clicking on the camera preview on the left side of the HUD after interacting with it. While changing the line of view, the display becomes a grainy black and white, with a blue cone in the center of vision demonstrating the extent of the turret's aggro range. So long as a recognized target falls within that range, the turret will aim and shoot until the target is dead or the turret is out of ammunition.

When filling the turret with ammunition, the player can add up to 300 rounds into any of the three ammunition slots, allowing for a total of 900 rounds to be loaded into the turret. The player must "Lock" the ammunition into place, or the turret won't fire. When locked, ammunition cannot be added to or removed from the turret. Placing a block above the turret will make the turret not fire even though it appears to track the target.

Game Guide

Notes[ | ]

  • Although it can be placed on horizontally on walls, the turret won't work if it is not placed upright.
  • The turret will only accept standard ammunition. You can not load AP or HP ammo.
  • Turrets are very likely to trigger the explosives on Demolisher zombies.
  • There is a bug that when placing many turrets, they cause an error that makes nearby objects disappear, such as chests, tables, crops, etc.
