Description[edit | edit source]

A Molotov Cocktail is a throwable weapon good for damaging groups of Zombies or other players.

Combat[edit | edit source]

The Molotov Cocktail is thrown using the left mouse button. Holding the left mouse button will increase the velocity of the projectile once thrown by releasing the mouse button. It can also be dropped out of the player inventory, causing the Molotov Cocktail to fall to the ground and explode.

Immediately upon impact, the Molotov Cocktail will explode, setting all zombies or players within a 4 block radius on fire. Surrounding blocks will also take no damage/ small amount of damage. Wood blocks will not stay on fire but they do take the most amount of damage. Molotov's buffBurningMolotov buff deals from 4-10-20 damage against enemies that aren't on fire, and 1-5-13 damage versus enemies that are on fire. This is dependent on how long the enemy is in the fire to begin with, if they are in it for the whole 16 seconds then the first tick will do 4-20 damage, the next 15 ticks will deal between 1-13 damage per second if they are lit on fire, which will come out to 19-199 damage of pure fire damage, or 24-204 if struck by the molotov. If the enemy is lit on fire they can burn from anywhere from 0 seconds to 8 seconds to 16 seconds. The aforementioned calculation does not count damage dealt by the fire of a molotov, only the damage dealt from being lit on fire.

If you are caught on fire, consuming a liquid such as Bottled Water will remove the fire.
