Basic Information | |
Category | Mold |
A Mold is a craftable item that is used to smelt Scrap into more usable items at a Forge. Molds are unique in that they do not stack and you only ever need one of each.

Mold Gun Part[ | ]
Gun parts can be obtained from placing any gun (except RL and Hunting Rifle) into the OUTPUT square (the 1x1 square) of the crafting grid, then choosing 1 of the gun parts that appear in the 5x5 crafting grid. Note that the entire weapon is destroyed in order to gain one gun part, and that how damaged the weapon is does not affect the quality of the gun part.
To make a gun mold, simply make a clay bowl shape with 5 clay as though to make an Iron Ingot Mold, and place the gun part in the center of the bowl to craft a Gun Part Mold. To craft a Gun Part from a Mold follow the same process as Mold Ingot.
Mold Bullet[ | ]
Place bullets in the 1x1 output slot of the crafting grid to break them down. Bullet Casing and Bullet Tips can be used to make Molds just like with Gun Parts, explained above. The only difference is that Bullet Tips require lead to mold, and Bullet Casing requires brass instead of iron. Note that the only difference between 9mm, 10mm, and sniper rifle ammunition is whether one, two, or three gunpowder is placed between the bullet case and bullet tip when crafting ammunition.
Notes[ | ]
- The RL and Hunting Rifle cannot be forged (yet).
- The Sniper Rifle has 5 parts, meaning a player must find 5 sniper rifles in order to mold all 5 parts.
- 2 of the 4 parts required to make a shotgun are crafted from wood planks.
- Iron Ingots, Forging Metal, Scrap Metal, and Short Metal Bars can all be placed in a forge to make a Gun Part.
- The creative inventory contains several metals and molds that currently have no use, such as Copper and Aluminum.
