Experience is the mechanic that involves the progress of the player to a certain level. When enough experience is earned, the player will level up and gain 1 spendable skill points. The maximum level is 300. The player may still gain additional skill points through finishing quests.

The experience required for each level is calculated using the following mechanic: 9545 * (1.0149 ^ level).

Experience Gain[edit | edit source]

Here is a list of actions that give the player experience, most of them increase just as the player level up their Skills.

Skill Related[edit | edit source]

  • Mining (Using Auger to mine somehow provides the player with massive amounts of experience)
  • Chopping Down Trees
  • Attacking Zombies using sharp/blunt weapons
  • Breaking Objects
  • Shooting (Doesn't necessarily require the player to hit zombies)
  • Trading
  • Scavenging
  • Exploring

Non-Skill Related[edit | edit source]

  • Building Frames, Furniture, anything
  • Upgrading and Repairing
  • Crafting
  • Farming
