Description[ | ]
The Demolisher Zombie (zombieDemolition) is a highly armored military zombie that appears in late-game Blood Moon hordes. They are easy to spot due to the great size and the green light of the explosive charge strapped onto their chest. Their specialties are the ability to stomp spikes and to explode, doing massive amounts of damage to both blocks and entities.
The damage dealt by the zombie itself is a standard 20 damage to entities, but a massive 500 damage to blocks. If the Demolisher explodes, the explosion deals up to 800 damage to entities and 5000 to blocks, though, depending on the distance. Every block within a 5-block-radius and every entity within a 6-block-radius is affected by the explosion.
If the Demolisher is shot directly in the explosive charge, the light will change from green to red, and emit X beeps until detonation. The Demolisher is able to be killed without exploding, if shot anywhere else except the explosive charge. The charge will NOT explode if it is shot after the Demolisher is dead, or if the Demolisher is killed after it is shot, but before it explodes.
In addition, it has a very high armor rating of 60, meaning any physical damage it takes is reduced by 60%. Therefore, it is recommended to use armor-piercing (AP) ammunition, effectively reducing his armor rating to 30 (without the addition of perks and skill books). Hollow-point ammunition on the other hand will do 0 damage to the Demolisher.
As of alpha 19, demolishers buttons can NOT be set off by blade traps when set to head level.
