Death occurs in 7 Days to Die when your Health reaches zero. You will respawn after dying and if you have placed a bedroll, you will have an optional choice to select to spawn on your bedroll or near the bedroll. Upon death you will lose your items determined by the option set when the map was loaded.
- "Lose everything" will result in you losing everything.
- "Toolbelt only" will result in you losing items in your toolbelt.
- "Backpack only" will result in your losing all your items in your backpack.
A backpack will be placed on the spot where you died. It contains the items mentioned above, and a marker will be visible on the map and compass.
