As of Alpha 20 it looks like this buff no longer exist. Curing an infection simply removes it.
Cured is a positive buff that a player acquires by curing a Zombie Infection using Antibiotics, Herbal Antibiotics, or Honey. Cured is applied as soon as the Infection is reduced to 0%. It protects the player from infection for 24 in game hours (about 60 minutes).
