Description[edit | edit source]

The Compound Bow is a weapon in 7 Days to Die. It is a medium-range weapon that fires arrows as Ammunition. A Compound Bow can be used with all types of arrows. It is best of the three bows (the other two are Wooden Bow and Crossbow), because of its better accuracy and firing speed.

To equip a different type of ammo, press and hold R, then select the ammo type you want.

Combat[edit | edit source]

During combat, a Compound Bow is a powerful medium to long range weapon. At short range, however, the player may have trouble because it requires reloading for each shot and therefore has a slow rate of fire. Due to its slow firing rate, a Compound Bow should be used with care at short range.

The Compound Bow can be used for stealth attacks, as firing an arrow doesn't make a sound and won't alert nearby zombies. Hitting a zombie, without killing him, does alert the zombie.
