Description[ | ]

A Brass Ingot is the result of casting brass in a Forge using a Brass Ingot Mold. There are a few items that provide a source of brass and can either be scrapped to produce Brass or melted directly in a Forge. Any combination of Brass or suitable items can be used to cast a Brass Ingot provided enough brass is produced. Each Brass Ingot weighs 3.0 lb and will require the same amount to be used during casting. The only use for the Brass Ingot is to cast Bullet Casings.

Forge[ | ]

Preparation[ | ]

A Brass Ingot is cast in a Forge it will need to be prepared before being used and the player will require these items.

IngotMoldBrass
1x Brass Ingot Mold
Place this into the Mold slot of the Forge.
Stick
6x Stick
These will burn for 24 seconds, but any fuel source that will burn for 24 seconds or more will be suitable

Required Metal[ | ]

To cast a Brass Ingot the player will require the following metal.

ScrapBrass
6x Brass
These will provide 3.0 lb of brass, but any source that will provide 3.0 lb of brass or more will be suitable. Place this into the Metal slot of the Forge.

Casting[ | ]

Place the source of brass into the metal slot of the Forge, then add a fuel source to one of the three Fuel slots, this will begin the casting process. A minimum of 3.0 lb of brass is required and will produce one Brass Ingot.

Source[ | ]

This table represents the items currently available to use as a source of brass.

  • Any of these items can be placed into a Forge and used to cast a Brass Ingot.

Notes[ | ]

  • As of Alpha 8.2 it is possible to cast a Brass Ingot using a Brass Ingot, obviously this is pointless as in doing so as a player would waste both fuel and time to end up with the same item as they started with.
  • As of Alpha 10.4 six Brass will create one Brass Ingot and eight Brass Doorknobs will create three Brass Ingots. The player should keep all Brass Doorknobs and use them directly in a Forge. This will maximize their production of Brass Ingots when using Brass Doorknobs as a source of brass.
