Description[edit | edit source]

Bottled Murky Water is a drink that is the result of filling a Glass Jar with water from various sources found in Navezgane and Random World Generation. It is contaminated and although it will have a positive effect on your Hydration and Stamina it will also have a negative effect on your Wellness, with a 50% chance of contracting Dysentery. It is possible to purify Bottled Murky Water by boiling it, which will produce Bottled Water and is safe to drink. You can also craft Bottled Murky Water using Snow. Once Bottled Murky Water has been consumed the empty glass jar will be placed into the backpack or on to toolbelt provided space is available.

Sources[edit | edit source]

Bottled Murky Water is collected by filling a Glass Jar from a source of Water. After crafting or finding an empty glass jar, you are able to use it on any available water source. A Glass Jar can be filled by placing the crosshairs over a source of Water and clicking on it using the right mouse button. This will fill the entire stack you are currently carrying on the Toolbelt as well the one in your hand. Lakes and streams count as usable water sources too. Bottled Murky Water can also be crafted on a Camp Fire that contains Cooking Pot by combining one Glass Jar and one Snowball (see recipe below).

Purification[edit | edit source]

In order to purify Bottled Murky Water, you will need to use a Cooking Pot on a Campfire, with a source of Combustible fuel, and time. Boiling the dirty water will purify it, converting it in to Bottled Water and removing the negative effects in the process.

How To: Find and Purify Water

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Like Glass Jars, Bottled Murky Water has a max stack of 500. This can be useful while scavenging -especially if you have a Water Purifier mod equipped- as Bottled Water only stacks to 15.
  • In addition to purification, Bottled Murky Water can also be used in a myriad of crafting recipes (e.g.- Glue, Grain Alcohol, Beer, etc.)
