Usage[edit | edit source]

Like the Shotgun Turret, the Auto Turret will automatically target any player or Zed in its view, depending on how the player sets the target preference. The Auto Turret can be set to target Self, Allies, Strangers, Enemies, or any combination of the four. Its line of vision can be adjusted by powering it and then clicking on the camera preview on the left side of the HUD after interacting with it. While changing the line of view, the display becomes a grainy black and white, with a blue cone in the center of vision demonstrating the extent of the turret's aggro range. So long as a recognized target falls within that range, the turret will aim and shoot until the target is dead or the turret is out of ammunition.

When filling the turret with ammunition, the player can add up to 500 9mm Bullets (Alpha 17) or 300 9mm Bullets (Alpha 18) into any of the three ammunition slots, allowing for a total of 1500 (A17) or 900 (A18) rounds to be loaded into the turret. The player must "Lock" the ammunition into place, or the turret won't fire. When locked, ammunition cannot be added to or removed from the turret.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Although it can be placed on horizontally on walls, the targeting math will NOT work if it's not upright.
