Description[edit | edit source]

The Auger is a multipurpose tool that can be used to rapidly destroy stone or metal blocks that are vulnerable to a Pickaxe. The Auger can be looted from Decayed Sedans and Working Stiffs Crate, and Garage Storage. While the Auger can be used as a melee weapon, it is ill-advised as it deals very low damage and can often take a lot of gas just by killing a few enemies.

The Auger requires fuel, in the form of Gas Cans. Refueling will be done automatically or it can be done manually by pressing the reload button (while the Auger is selected and with a Gas Can in the inventory).

Scrapping[edit | edit source]

Augers are very valuable and effective, thus making them a poor choice for scrapping.

Heat Map[edit | edit source]

Whenever you use an Auger it affects the Heatmap. If used for long enough or if multiple augers are used simultaneously, it will attract zombies. If the heat level gets high enough, it will attract one or more Screamer Zombies.

For a better understanding of the heatmap and heat, see Heatmap.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Most often found in cities.
  • Can be found inside Garage Storage boxes and Decayed Sedans Also can be found in Hardware Stores.
  • The durability is based on the durability of the weakest part, the Engine.
